Introduction to Wealth

Is your ego worth millions of dollars to you? If you’re like most people, it is. You might not feel that way, but the money that flows through your hands that gets spent on all those things that make you appear like the Jones family down the street is costing you BIG.

Over time you can spend a lot of small amounts for little, trivial things that don’t mean much to you. Yet, in total those small amounts, if wisely invested, would add up to a lot of money, money you could have without any real sacrifice.

It’s the consumer trap. Companies grow rich, employers retain workers because people buy lots of stuff, and those consumers have to go to work to pay all those bills. It’s what makes the world go around. Are you one of those people? Do you want to remain one of them?

Time is too precious to waste worrying about having enough money. If you put forth the effort to understand and use the techniques described in these pages, I assure you your financial situation and quality of life will dramatically improve. In order to achieve financial success you must understand money and its ways. Pay attention and it will pay you back in spades. That is the surest path to wealth. It is an animal to be tamed. Otherwise it will eat you alive.

Money is just a medium of exchange. It’s simple. People tend to make it complicated, especially if they spend more than they have earned. But it isn’t difficult if you learn a few concepts and follow some basic rules. An entertaining read on the subject is the classic novel “The Richest Man in Babylon” by George S. Clason. Set in ancient Babylon, it explains the general ideas of wealth in a way that’s simple to understand. What I have done here is to show you ways of applying similar principles in today’s world.

There are no hidden secrets that will make you rich quickly. What good would that be any way if you don’t have a handle on your life now? You sure won’t have a handle on your life then. This will prepare you for wealth by showing you how to think and act in a way that continues to increase and preserve your financial well being. You will never be able to completely stop thinking about money, but you will be able to stop worrying about it as much as you do now.

It’s only a matter of degrees how much you need to think about your money, not whether or not you have to do it at all. You should never abdicate responsibility for something so important to your well being. No one can or will ever have your best interests in mind as you do.

All you need is a simple system and to follow it consistently. You will grow wealthy. Is your security and peace of mind worth more to you than stroking your ego by buying things of little to no value to impress others? I will reveal to you the keys to wealth. But only you can unlock the door. If you want to change your financial condition, like anything else, you must change the actions you’re taking with your life and your money. Does that make sense? The remainder of this book will illustrate how you can gain control of your financial destiny.
